Flights You
can get flights to Dahab from any major city in Europe several times
per week. Destination airports are Sharm el Sheikh or Taba. Inexpensive
flights can easily be found on the internet. There are several flights
per day from Cairo to Sharm el Sheik and also flights from Luxor,
Alexandria or Hurghada.Visa
Visa are issued directly in the arrival hall at the airports. If you
do not stay longer than two weeks and do not plan to leave the Sinai
peninsula, visas are free of charge. Just write "Sinai only"
on the back of the arrival form. Note:
If you want to dive at Ras Mohammed you need the full visa for
all Egypt! That 4-week-visa costs around 20.- € and can be
extended at El Tur, the government center of Sinai. This is very easy
for EU-citizens.
Transfer to Dahab
If you did not book an all-inclusive trip which includes transfer,
just grab one of the many taxis in front of the airport. The drivers
normally speak some english. The drive to Dahab (approx. 70 min. from
Sharm el Sheikh and 90 min. from Taba) is on a good road and gives you a
stunning view of the Sinai mountains.

Local currency is the egyptian pound. The current exchange rate can
be found here.
Language The language in Egypt is Egyptian
