Check-In:
The divecenter is open daily from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm
On check-in please bring your logbook, your certification, your voucher (for preebooked packages), your passport (or a copy) and a medical certificate.

Safety rules:
We dive according the 30-60-30 rule: max. 30 m (100 ft.) - max. 60 minutes - min. 30 Bar (500 psi) left in your tank on reaching the surface.
Equipment:
Each diver must have the following equipment: stabilizing jacket with inflator, regulator with alternate airsource and pressure gauge and a set of mask, snorkel , fins. Divers without direct supervision through the diveguide also need a dive-computer. If using our rental-equipment, which is regulary maintained and checked, each diver has nevertheless to check it carefully before every dive.
Depth limit:
According to egyptian law we must exclude every diver that exceeds the limit of 30 Meters (100 feet) from further diving activities. We check computers and pressure gauges regulary. Exceeding the depth limit can result in immediate exclusion without compensation.
Tankpressure:
The remaining pressure of the diving-tank must not be below 30 Bar (500 psi) when reaching the surface. For tanks that are returned to the compressor-station with less than 30 Bar we charge a maintenance-fee of 5 €.
Separation from dive-buddy:
When separated from your buddy, follow the international standard: Search for a maximun of one minute, then ascend while not exceeding the recommended ascend rate. At the surface alert the other divers by knocking on your tank. When such an alert is given, all divers must return to the surface immediately (while observing the ascent-rate).
Buddy-system:
The buddy-system with a maximum distance between buddies of 5 meters (15 feet) has to be maintained at all times! Diving "solo" results in the immediate expulsion from any diving activities without compensation. Before every dive a partner check is mandatory, including going through the most important and common underwater signals and the agreeing on the safety proceedures.
Emergency equipment:
At the dive site and the dive center we carry emergency-kits with oxygen, spare equipment and means of communication (e.g. mobile phone or VHF).

Prebooked packages:
Dive packages can be prebooked through a variety of tour operators or directly through DAHAB DIVE PARADISE. All vouchers are personal and can not be transfered.

Checkdive:
A checkdive is mandatory for all divers with less than 50 dives or without dives during the last six months. The exercises are: Breathing without mask, an emergenccy simulation with breathing through the alternate air source, weight-check and buoyancy control. Should these exercises not be satisfactorily completed according to the diving standards, the checkdive has to be repeated.

Guided dives:
All divers with less than 50 logged dives, or without diving activity during the last twelve months, have to dive under direct supervision. Maximum group size is six divers.

Storage of own equipment:
Storing of own equipment in the divecenter or the vehicles is done at your own risk. DAHAB DIVE PARADISE is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please treat rental equipment with care! Lost or damaged rental equipment will be charged for at regular purchase price plus import duty and shipping. Blow-drying the first stage with air oder washing it unprotected with fresh water is forbidden.

Exclusion from diving activities:
Diving without buddy oder exceeding the depth limit can result in immediate exclusion from diving without compensation. Any consumption of alcohol during the lunch break is strictly forbidden. Consumption of alcoholic beverages results automatically in an exclusion from any diving activities for that day without compensation.

Check-Out:
Please return rental equipment, storage boxes and weights and please pay your bill until 5.00 pm the day before your departure. Payments can be made in Euro, US Dollar and egyptian pounds or travellers cheques in Euro or US Dollar. Of course we love to sign and stamp your logbook.
